Sky's Pediatrics provides support to the families of medically fragile and special needs children. We are a day health facility aiming to keep families happy and intact.

Our Mission

Sky's Pediatric Day Center, nestled in the heart of Merced, California, is a haven for medically fragile children. As a privately owned facility, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and specialized environment tailored to the unique needs of these special individuals. Our center is meticulously designed to cater to their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.

At Sky's, we recognize the immense challenges faced by families raising medically fragile children. Our mission is to alleviate some of these burdens by offering a comprehensive range of services. These services include skilled nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and educational support. Our team of highly trained and compassionate professionals is committed to fostering the growth and development of each child in our care.

While providing respite for the family, Sky's Pediatric Day Center remains steadfast in supporting their continued involvement in their child's well-being. We believe that families are the primary caregivers, and our goal is to empower them with the knowledge and resources they need to continue providing exceptional care at home. Through our family-centered approach, we foster a sense of community and support, ensuring that both the children and their families feel valued and understood.

We offer a range of therapies and interventions, including speech and language therapy, physical therapy, and behavioral therapy. Our focus is on developing the child's skills and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Compassionate Care for Growing Minds and Bodies

Therapeutic Interventions

Beyond medical care, our staff fosters a holistic approach to supporting medically fragile children. They understand the importance of emotional well-being and provide a range of activities and therapies to enhance their quality of life. These activities may include music therapy, art therapy, and play-based interventions designed to promote development and socialization.

Throughout the day, therapists work closely with children to address their developmental and therapeutic goals. Play-based therapies, such as sand tray therapy and art therapy, are used to facilitate emotional expression and problem-solving. Cognitive stimulation activities target language development, memory, and attention.
